Anna Maria Island is located on the West Coast of Florida. It is a small barrier island that extends into the Gulf of Mexico just south of St Petersburg, East of Bradenton, and north of Sarasota (Long Boat Key).

Airports: There are two airports nearby. The island is about 50 minutes from Tampa International Airport, and 25 minutes from Sarasota/Bradenton Airport Orlando is about 120 minutes away. Click here for detail directions from the airport.

Beaches: 300 yards/meters to sandy white beaches or deep water canal boat dock. Bonus! Our property includes our nearbly canal boat dock (bring you boat, or rent one!)

Theme Parks: One hour to Busch Gardens, about two hours to Orlando, and the Disney World, Epcot and other theme parks. (Close, but not too close...)

Shopping/dining out: Five minutes to local antique stores and island shops, 25 minutes to Longboat Key/St. Armands Circle (excellent high-end shops)

Getting around: On the island everything is close by. Hop on the free trolly-style buses, which stop at the street corner (amazingly convenient) and let someone else do the driving. Bikes are great fun and great excercise. This is America and a car provides air conditioned comfort and access to shopping and attractions a bit further afield.
